One of The Conjuring The most notorious figures are causing stir.
Interestingly, this has no connection to the end of the movie series, The Conjuring: Last Rites. Just weeks before Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga his last appearance as renowned paranormal investigators Ed Warren and Lorraine Warren , paranormal investigator Dan Rivera passed away unexpectedly while managing a nationwide tour that included the supposedly haunted doll Annabelle of the late couple.
Nevertheless, Wilson isn't placing significant importance on the rumors that Annabelle played a role in Rivera's death at the end of July.

"I believe whenever an event occurs in real life, I never make it more dramatic. There are many things that remain unexplained," he exclusively shared with E! News. Certainly, Wilson and his long-time co-star have become quite acquainted with the unsettling Raggedy Ann doll, as the Warrens' examination of Annabelle was what set things in motion. The Conjuring franchise since 2013—and eventually gave the doll a separate series.
Rivera, who is 54 years old, also had connections with the Warrens because he was part of the New England Society for Psychic Research (NESPR), which the pair established in 1952 (Ed passed away in 2006, and Lorraine died in 2019).
And NESPR's eerie journeys are captured in The Conjuring movies. In fact, the final performance Last Rites draws from Warren's experiences with the Smurl family, who alleged they faced harassment—and even physical attacks—from paranormal entities within their Pennsylvania residence during the 1970s and 1980s.
The notorious supernatural incident perfectly encapsulates what has made The Conjuring The universe was well-received by horror enthusiasts, offering a suitable cinematic farewell for the Warrens, although, as Farmiga mentioned, there wasn’t anything "nostalgic, heartfelt, or overly sentimental" about her and Wilson's last scene together on set.
There wasn't a significant, dramatic goodbye between us. It was quite straightforward. The Departed The actress shared, mentioning her fatigue towards the conclusion of production and Wilson departing from the set prior to Farmiga. "We looked like zombies. We sort of just stared at one another and then he left."
