BUCKEYE, AZ (AZFamily) - A young person is currently in serious condition following their removal from a backyard swimming pool in Buckeye on Sunday.
Approximately 4:00 PM, Buckeye Fire Medical Rescue teams arrived at the scene of a reported drowning incident. close to Durango Street and Watson Road When the crew members arrived, they discovered a 9-year-old boy lying facedown and unresponsive in the pool for at least a minute.
Emergency responders state that the family contacted 911 right away. The child was transported to Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Officials mention that he was still breathing but in severe condition, needing specialized medical treatment.
The events leading to the almost-fatal incident remain under examination.
