A 23-year-old biker passed away after being involved in a vehicle accident in Las Vegas on Monday afternoon, as reported by the Metropolitan Police Department.
The accident occurred around 3:30 p.m. near South Jones Boulevard and Eldora Avenue, south of West Sahara Avenue.
A driver of a Mercedes-Benz SUV was traveling east when they veered into the path of a southbound motorcycle, according to authorities.
Law enforcement stated that the motorcyclist, who lived in Las Vegas, passed away at University Medical Center. On Tuesday afternoon, the Clark County Coroner's Office confirmed the individual's identity as Benjamin Paquay, concluding that his cause of death was due to numerous traumatic injuries caused by physical impact.
The driver, whom authorities stated was not under the influence, remained on the spot.
The accident, which marked the 108th traffic death within Metro's area of responsibility in 2025, was still being looked into.
