WASHINGTON ( DC News Now — D.C. officers detained a individual on Saturday, charging him with multiple burglaries and thefts following an incident in June.
The Washington D.C. Police Department stated that on June 12, approximately 9:35 p.m., an individual approached a person located at the 900 block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. The man took the victim's items and then fled.
On August 23, members of the Metropolitan Police Department served an arrest warrant and arrested 61-year-old Ronnie Bryant. Authorities have accused him of theft through larceny.
While investigating, the detectives connected Bryant to multiple additional cases:
- A break-in occurred on May 15 at the 2400 block of Virginia Avenue NW.
- Two thefts occurred on June 5 at the 1200 block of 22nd Street NW.
- Two instances of burglary occurred at a business on June 12 within the 500 block of 23rd Street Northwest.
- A theft occurred at a business on June 25 in the 500 block of 23rd Street Northwest.
- Two burglaries occurred at a business on August 18 within the 1200 section of 5th Street NE.
- Two thefts and illegal entry occurred on August 23 at the 800 block of Mt. Vernon Place NW.
