Congresswoman Nancy Mace, who is seeking the governorship of South Carolina, visited Greenville on Monday for a town hall meeting held at Bimini's Oyster Bar and Seafood.
At the event, Mace, who calls herself "Trump in High Heels," drew parallels between herself and the president. Mace stated, "My policies closely resemble Trump's. He has a lot of common sense and is conservative, yet he's also socially aware."
Mace discussed various issues during the town meeting, such as immigration. She mentioned that if elected, she would encourage local police departments across the state to assist in implementing immigration laws.
Although the venue was packed for the gathering, Mace faced certain opposition. Several of her detractors were present both within and around the event location.
