Lost siblings found: Toddler and brother missing from LA foster home reunited, per LAPD

A pair of kids who went missing from their foster care residence during the early part of Thursday were located, according to the Los Angeles Police Department on Sunday.

As the siblings—a 10-year-old child and an infant—disappeared, authorities stated they were thought to be facing immediate risk.

Two-year-old Derek Rodriguez-Hernandez and his older sibling Jaden Hernandez were reported missing from their foster care residence in the Westlake area around 1:30 a.m., according to authorities.

The young men's adoptive parents heard the front door open and rushed outside, they told KTLA but the boys had already left.

The LAPD stated that they had been taken by their natural mother, Jackeline Hernandez-Torres.
