The BFI London Film Festival will be welcoming Noah Baumbach and his new film "Jay Kelly" with a grand opening.
The Netflix production — featuring George Clooney portraying a renowned filmmaker reflecting on his life and profession — will debut in the UK with a special showing at London’s Royal Festival Hall on October 10. It will first screen globally at the Venice Film Festival on August 28.
With Clooney, the top-tier ensemble features Adam Sandler, Laura Dern, Billy Crudup, Riley Keough, Eve Hewson, Greta Gerwig, Alba Rohrwacher, and Emily Mortimer. Baumbach and several cast members will be present at the U.K. debut.
"The Man Who Wasn’t There" centers around a well-known actor (Clooney) and his loyal agent (Adam Sandler) as they travel rapidly across Europe, experiencing an unexpected deep emotional adventure. Throughout their trip, each man must face the decisions he has taken, his connections with family members, and the impact he will have after leaving.
I'm excited and proud that 'Jay Kelly' has been selected for the BFI London Film Festival," stated Baumback. "We shot, along with editing, mixing, and recording our soundtrack, right here in London. Several of our incredible team members will be present. It almost feels like coming back home, even for someone from New York.

The film "Jay Kelly" will be available in theaters starting November 14 and on Netflix from December 5.
