Centrus Energy ( LEU ) Entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, KHNP, and POSCO International to examine possible investments that could aid in expanding Centrus' uranium enrichment facility located in Piketon, Ohio. U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick and South Korean Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Kim Jung-kwan were present during the signing ceremony, which seeks to enhance collaboration between the United States and South Korea regarding civil nuclear energy. Additionally, Centrus and KHNP have decided to raise the amount of enriched uranium supplied under their contract finalized in February 2025.
