ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico - The initial day of qualification races for the All American Futurity is here.
The trials this year took place at the Downs of Albuquerque following significant flooding that caused damage to the Ruidoso Downs Race Track and Casino in July.
The first day of the two-day qualification process for the 440-yard All American Futurity takes place on Monday, with the event scheduled for September 1. A total of 16 trial races will occur on Monday, followed by another 16 on Tuesday. Both days have an initial starting time set for 11 a.m.
Five of the swiftest horses every day will be eligible for the All American Futurity championship. The All American Futurity qualifying races feature two-year-old Quarter Horses.
The All American Derby and All American Oaks competitions will be held on Wednesday starting at 11 a.m.

Controversy Surrounds the Top Five Qualifiers for the 2025 All American Futurity on Monday
Political Twist is enjoying an outstanding two-year-old season. His victory on Monday in the preliminary races for the All American Futurity marked his fifth triumph this year out of five attempts. He has also claimed victories in the West Texas Futurity and the Ruidoso Futurity.

Easy Choice emerged victorious in Monday's closing race of the day with a time of 21.21 seconds. Trainer Jason Olnstead secured victory in the last two races of the day.
Race 15 Results: Ajs Wingman shines in the penultimate trial
Ajs Wingman performed exceptionally well, finishing in 21.13 seconds. Jason Olmstead served as the victorious trainer, while Ramiro Haro Garcia was the successful rider. Ajs Wingman has now entered the top five for the day, with one more trial left to come.
