Certain pet owners adore their animals deeply, to the point where they might not mind being in a relationship with a digital representation of them. A MetLife Pet Insurance survey Published on Saturday, a study revealed that out of the 1,000 U.S. pet owners surveyed, one-third would consider dating an artificial intelligence-created human-like representation of their pet. This survey coincides with a popular TikTok movement where individuals use AI technology to transform their animals into humans. Among those familiar with this trend, 31% stated they would date the human form of their pet. Slightly more millennials (34%) expressed willingness compared to Generation Z and baby boomers (each at 33%), with Generation Z being the lowest at 24%. The research indicated no major distinction between dog lovers and cat enthusiasts regarding considering their pets for romantic relationships. Additionally, nearly half of all pet owners believe their animal companions would act as "a clear warning sign" if transformed into humans. Furthermore, over eight out of ten pet owners claimed they would not date anyone who disliked their pet.
