Approximately 3,000 United Illuminating customers experienced power outages on Tuesday following issues with fallen wires affecting a circuit. East Haven .
As stated by UI representative Sarah Wall Fliotsos, UI was alerted via a phone call at 6:45 p.m. regarding "electrical wires catching fire and falling" onto North High Street in East Haven.
The wires subsequently hit a high-load circuit, resulting in power outages.
Fliotsos mentioned that the projected timeframe for restoring services was around 10 p.m. According to the UI outage map, electricity had been reinstated for the majority of the impacted customers.
