Phoenix-to-Las Vegas Highway Shut Down Following Crash

According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the primary highway connecting Phoenix and Las Vegas has been shut down in both directions due to an accident.

ADOT said the closure is in place at milepost 168, about 30 miles northwest of Wickenburg, and was caused by a crash.

The closure stretches from Interstate 40 east of Kingman to State Route 71 west of Congress.

The department does not yet know when the highway will reopen and said drivers should expect delays.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety told 12News the crash involves three vehicles, all of which are commercial vehicles. AZDPS did not yet have any information about injuries from this crash.
