IBM ( NYSE: IBM ) is making a major push for leadership in the AI market while doubling down on U.S. investment. At the tech giant's annual THINK event, the company unveiled new hybrid AI technologies designed to help businesses scale and operationalize AI using their own enterprise data.

A new IBM study suggests that business executives anticipate the pace of AI spending to increase by over twice within the coming twenty-four months, with 61% of chief executive officers currently embracing AI representatives. Nonetheless, merely 25% of present AI projects have achieved their projected ROI, underscoring persistent difficulties related to incorporation and fragmented tech solutions.

The age of experimenting with AI has ended. The current edge in competition arises from specially designed AI integration aimed at achieving quantifiable business results, said Arvind Krishna , Chairman and CEO, IBM. "IBM is equipping enterprises with hybrid technologies that cut through complexity and accelerate production-ready AI implementations."

The CEO asserted that he saw an opportunity to provide software that integrates customers' AI agents from other providers, including Adobe ( ADBE ), AWS ( AMZN ), Microsoft ( MSFT ), Oracle ( ORCL ), Salesforce Agentforce ( CRM ), SAP ( SAP ), ServiceNow ( NOW ), Workday ( WDAY ), among others.

IBM ( NYSE: IBM ) is working with Oracle ( ORCL ) to bring watsonx— IBM's flagship portfolio of AI products—to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) in July. The watsonx Orchestrate agents will perform AI inferencing on OCI, which many customers use to host their data, AI, and other applications.

In parallel, in April, IBM ( IBM ) announced a $150B investment in the U.S. over the next five years, advancing mainframe and quantum computing manufacturing. The CEO emphasized that this investment will keep IBM ( IBM ) at the forefront of advanced computing and AI, supporting American jobs and innovation.
