Therefore, it’s possible that Google might decide not to proceed with this feature in the future. Evidence suggesting this includes some concealed code found inside the Google Play Services application. version 25.18.31 which refers to Intrusion Detection.
Several features indicate potential capabilities for Intrusion Detection. This functionality appears quite intriguing and may be specific to Android 16 upon release. The system will capture various pieces of data from your device such as details related to your lock screen, USB connections, web-browsing activities, application installations, Wi-Fi settings, among others. Afterward, this collected information will undergo encryption before being sent to a protected and secured folder within Google Drive.
If you detect unusual behavior on your phone, such as lagging or erratic performance, you'll have access to these logs for review. This feature allows you to examine the entries and identify any actions that seem unfamiliar to you. Given that Google Drive is encrypted, it will remain inaccessible until decryption occurs using your Google account password along with your device unlock code.
According to the strings, Intrusion Detection could be a part of the Advanced Protection Mode in Android 16. If that’s the case, then people using older versions of Android might not be able to use this feature.
