In order for the Russian Federation to join the negotiation table, they need to cease all acts of violence. It is only following this step that discussions between the nations can occur, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a press conference.

Zelenskyy has expressed that he does not fear any form of talks with Russia. He believes that these discussions could occur either through mediators or directly, involving support from the United States or European nations. The key point for Zelenskyy is ensuring that such dialogues have meaningful content rather than degenerating into fruitless exchanges with an adversary.

"Substantive discussions are preferred for any negotiations. How do we engage directly with ballistic missiles? Currently, it's merely about dialogue involving missiles and terrorists. What is the purpose of mere conversation? The top priority should be an unconditional ceasefire," stressed the President of Ukraine.

He expressed gratitude to the USA for initiating efforts to extinguish the fires in Ukraine. Additionally, he mentioned that the nation might establish some boundaries prior to agreeing to a truce; however, this isn’t currently a crucial requirement.

The president stated that he believes the ceasefire ought to be without conditions, and following that, discussions could take place in any format. However, for this to happen, the Russians need to cease being killers and become open to diplomatic efforts. At present, they are merely regarded as demons.

Zelenskyy voiced skepticism regarding Russia's genuine intentions, pointing out that their declarations lack substantive follow-through.

"They travel to America, deliver speeches, get featured on channels, discuss their desire for peace, present certain mining deals, claiming they are prepared. But what exactly are they prepared for? Those who are truly ready should take tangible actions," he concluded.
