We can hardly picture Nonnatus House and Poplar without Nancy Corrigan, but it seems we'll have to do so soon. Call the Midwife Season 14 kicks off with Nancy revealing that she received a job offer somewhere else. Initially, she declined it, but now she has decided to accept the position this time around.
This is an emotionally complex time for us fans of Nancy. Since joining the show during season four, she has undergone significant development. Although we understand that leaving is the best path for her character progression, which brings joy, it also fills us with sadness because we will miss witnessing the continuation of her story and romance with Roger.
When will Nancy depart? Call the Midwife season 14?
Megan Cusack talked to Radio Times When the show first broadcasted in the UK, she announced that she would be departing from the series. Nonetheless, Nancy does not exit stage in the very first episode; instead, it seems she will remain for several more episodes at minimum. Afterward, she vanishes without much clarity on whether this signals her final appearance or if she might return later.
Cusack mentioned that although Nancy is a professional woman, this does not imply she will remain distant from Poplar for an extended period. Since she previously stated that her wedding to Roger would take place there, we can assume she'll have to return for it. The series surely needs to include that wedding, correct?
It seems that this is indeed the case according to what we can anticipate. Call the Midwife The season 14 finale is just around the corner, and anticipation is building! For now, I’ll keep quiet about any details. That said, Nancy will be with us throughout most of season 14, but this is where her story comes to an end.
