( The Hill — The White House is changing the date for one of its traditional spring garden tours because of an anticipated large-scale protest against President Trump scheduled to occur close to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
The White House stated on Thursday that the planned spring garden tours for Saturday will be rescheduled to take place one day after, on Sunday instead.
"This choice was made with extreme precaution and to guarantee the safety of everyone close to the scheduled public protests near the White House on April 5," according to a statement.
The action follows expectations of large gatherings on the National Mall in Washington this Saturday for a " Hands Off! " demonstration. The White House stated, “All tickets previously reserved for Saturday, April 5th, will be valid on Sunday, April 6th, from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM (irrespective of the originally scheduled time on the ticket).”
