Two Postponed Events at the New Hotspot: What You Need to Know

Two scheduled events at Derby's newest entertainment spot have been delayed.

A scheduled engagement with Lee Carsley, who manages England’s U-21 team, was set for Friday, May 11th, at what is now called Vaillant Live. This would be succeeded by a boxing match on Saturday, May 12th.

The Misfits boxing match has been rescheduled to May 16th; however, no date has yet been announced for the football occasion.

The tickets will still be good for the new dates set, and those who wish for a refund should get in touch with where they bought their ticket from.

In a social media post, Misfits Boxing, the organizer behind the boxing event, stated that the postponement was due to "logistical scheduling conflicts."

The message further stated that bought tickets would still be applicable for the rescheduled date.

Blake Fallows, who hosts the podcast behind the event with Lee Carsley and ex-Derby County players Dean Sturridge and Paul Williams, expressed on social media: "Extremely disappointed that we have to reschedule the show at Becketwell Live next Friday until further notice."

The newly opened £46 million entertainment venue has partnered with Radio Derby and introducing to provide four local acts the chance to officially inaugurate the space at 12:00 BST on Saturday.

The Whiskey Brothers featuring Dorothy Ella, Terrianne, and Riley Marsh are set to be the inaugural performers at the 3,500-seat arena. The facility is owned by Derby City Council but has been entrusted to ASM Global since February.

The kickoff event, available at no cost, will be streamed live on Radio Derby.

Comedians such as John Bishop along with bands like Wet Wet Wet have secured performances at the venue for later this year.

A representative from Vaillant Live stated: "We have two upcoming events that are completely booked, and we’re excited about welcoming people through our doors as our fantastic team is prepared to greet every attendee."
