To the editor The encounter between Nathaniel Ayres and Steve Lopez ranks among my most cherished tales from Los Angeles.
(" 20 Years Strong: The Unexpected Meeting With a Street Musician That Spawned an Enduring Connection On March 28, it is indeed fitting to recognize this significant milestone—the 20-year mark. In Los Angeles, the homeless population often becomes an annoyance yet remains unseen by many who rush through their hectic schedules amidst city traffic. Embracing others wholeheartedly like Lopez does has turned into a scarce virtue nowadays. Recalling Mr. Ayers' musical show at both Disney Hall and the White House brought me joy. Encounters driven by compassion continue to hold great potential for making substantial impacts in individuals' lives.
