To be more specific, I went through about four auditions plus an additional screen test. It was truly taxing and nerve-wracking as a budding performer, yet ultimately, what stuck out to me was how warm and familial everyone felt within this production team. There were exceptional individuals involved too, such as Mark [Teschner], our phenomenal casting director known for his kindness towards actors, along with Wendy [Riche, formerly executive producer], who treated me exceptionally well. My screen test alongside Steve Burton [who played Jason] added immense stress since he held legendary status for me due to roles he portrayed during my childhood favorites. This made everything even more daunting—the character itself, the script—it all seemed overwhelmingly formidable!” However, she noted that despite these challenges, she saw potential in portraying Carly.
