*The lineup of talents for the 26 th yearly Baltimore "Uplifting Minds II" Entertainment Symposium (ULMII) The event scheduled for Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 1-3 PM EST / 10-12 Noon PST has been announced.
Led by Mid-Day Diva Dr. Doresa Harvey, who previously worked with iHeart and Radio One Baltimore, the ULMII stands as one of the nation’s most enduring entertainment conventions.
The lineup of talent begins with the ULMII Professional Showcase featuring performances by R&B/Pop artist. Celina Graves From Three 2 Go Music and the Christian Rock band Reviving Dayvid from Nash Town Entertainment.
Special guest performances will be featured at ULMII 2024 in Los Angeles. st place winner rapper Lil Hyste From Wisconsin performing his victorious choice "Ghetto Children" at the beginning of the conference, the second-place winner Julian Gross From Baltimore, he performed his winning choice "Something's in the Water" shortly before the contest, and 3 rd place winner AngelicVoices featuring Asim From New York, they performed their victorious song "Spiritual Warfare" to conclude the conference.
Angelic Voices with members Asim and Julian Gross will likewise take part in the contest. The talent lineup for the international competition will also feature R&B’s. Dossi from Ohio, Hip-Hop’s Jackpot Jigga from North Chicago, and Hip-Hop’s Chamveka Banda from North Zambia.
The ULMII Entertainment Conference features a discussion with leading industry figures and creatives during a Q&A session, along with a Professional Showcase and an International Talent Competition. The top three acts selected by the judges will have access to $20,000 worth of prizes including goods, services, and money.
Panelists include Dr. Kerri Moseley-Hobbs a manager for an award-winning SAG/AFTRA actor/director from Anthony-Michael.com and also the Vice President of Production at Imagination Lunchbox, LLC Dr. Lee Bailey a digital magazine publisher with one million monthly visitors and an ex-syndicated radio host for RadioScope Dr. Winston Grier The author of "Making Money God’s Way," who serves as a pastor at the Church of the Living God located in Georgia and hosts The W.O.R.D. Podcast available on Spotify, Apple, Amazon, and YouTube; he is also a Billboard #1 chart-topping jazz guitarist. Gregory Goodloe (John P. Kee, Shirley Caesar) and head of Hip Jazz Records (“Groovin’ On”) Michele Vreeland a pop artist who also plays guitar and serves as the president of Xyla Records ("Wild Horse"); Anthony Michael Hobbs a SAG/AFTRA multiple award-winning actor (nominated for an Emmy for the PBS miniseries "The Abolitionist"), filmmaker ("One Nation"), president of Imagination Lunchbox, LLC, and founder of the Imagination Lunchbox International Children’s & Adults’ Film Festivals (found at ImaginationLunchbox.com) Aaron Akins A Broadway actor from "Into the Cole" and a jazz vocalist/songwriter behind "When Do We Love," which features Walter and Wallace Scott of The Whispers, is presently touring with their show "When Do We Love Tour." Alander Pulliam, Jr. owner of 98.8 FM (iHeart Radio), an author, and a film producer; multiple ULMII competition winner Lil Hyste ("Up" / Empire Records) and an A&R Representative Nadiyah Kareem Previously an artist manager for Talib Kareem, who was part of the Jive Records group Imajin, and also served as the president of Superstar Entertainment.
The "Uplifting Minds II" Entertainment Conference has seen several remarkable success stories. For instance, singer-songwriter Miguel secured a significant record deal after impressing one of the conference's panelists. Today, he boasts multiple Grammy wins under his belt. Additionally, Naturi Naughten caught the eye of Broadway representatives during her participation at ULMII. This led her to join the music ensemble 3LW before transitioning into acting roles such as appearing in the STARZ series "Power." Another notable achievement includes the Featherstone Brothers' original composition being heard by Sisqó ("Incomplete") who was promoting his own solo work. Consequently, their track ended up featured on Dru Hill’s third studio album titled "I Should Be (Your Boyfriend)," achieving multi-platinum status. Furthermore, RoShon Fegan’s management team credited insights gleaned from ULMII founder Dr. Eunice Moseley for guiding RoShon through pivotal career moves like starring in Disney’s "Shake It Up," followed by appearances on ABC's hit show "Dancing with the Stars."
