The fourth yearly Stillwater Motocross Classic is scheduled for this weekend, aiming to raise funds for local athlete Dylan Grubaughs, who is fighting a condition that could lead to leukemia. This event starts at 8 a.m. on April 6th and includes a raffle to help Grubaughs in his battle against the illness.
Wyatt Bullen, who owns half of the racetrack, highlighted the importance of this year’s event. He explained, “This weekend holds an additional layer of excitement because we’re hosting a raffle for a dear friend of ours. Our pal Dylan was diagnosed with something that precedes leukemia; thankfully, doctors detected it soon enough to begin various tests and treatments aimed at helping him recover and return home,” as stated by Bullen.
Grubaughs conveyed his thanks for the community’s backing. “This event and giveaway mean so much to me. The Stillwater Classic is among my most cherished races, and I really wanted to participate this weekend. However, with everyone’s support, it feels like I haven’t missed out on anything. I am incredibly thankful to have such an incredible group of people rallying behind me and my family,” he stated.
Alongside the main competition, attendees can participate in a raffle for exciting prizes such as a Trek Green Mountain Grill, a Yeti cooler, and custom motocross graphics. Additionally, the event has partnered with local police through their “Stay on the Track, Avoid the Roads” campaign, which seeks to promote responsible riding behaviors amongst young participants using the Only Stillwater Motocross track within this region.
