Q: How did you come up with Harry Da Souza?
TH: Playing Harry has been quite intriguing. Over the past two or three decades, I've conducted extensive character research. Individuals similar to Harry aren’t confined to the criminal underworld; you might find them working as hotel concierges too. They could also be politicians, lawyers, or even doctors—people across various fields solve problems at their core levels. In "Pulp Fiction," these elements blend into a comedic yet gritty narrative for characters like Harry. Instead of basing him solely on interviews with actual gangsters—which I’ve done before—I constructed Harry drawing inspiration from numerous professional backgrounds, making his persona richly layered and multifaceted.
Who is the problem-solver in your family?
LP: I believed I had things figured out until I attended therapy and recognized that I wasn’t handling situations well at all. It was so presumptuous of me to think I could have any significant impact on others' wellbeing.
JF: Each of us has moments like these. At times, we all must take on the role of the problem-solver, and occasionally, we all need some fixing ourselves.
