SPENCER, Iowa (KCAU) — The Spencer Economic Development Corp. established a fund for enterprises affected by the previous year's flooding .
The Commercial Business Assistance Grant might offer between $1,000 and $25,000 to support nearby enterprises. These grants can be utilized for restocking inventory, purchasing equipment, and covering other essential needs; however, they do not extend to repairing physical damages.
The Spencer Economic Development Corporation states that more than a hundred enterprises were affected by the flood.
We were keen on backing the businesses in Spencer that decided to resume operations and remain operational," stated Vice President Jason Warren. "For our community, it was significant once more to demonstrate this sense of optimism that we're recovering and that these enterprises have the backing they need from within the local populace.
At present, submissions for the grant have been halted. The Spencer Economic Development Corporation has received 84 applications, which are now under review by the authorities.
