Shockwave: 'Fantastic Four' Unveils Trailblazing Female Silver Surfer in Electric New Trailer

The Marvel family made their debut in Las Vegas, featuring fresh clips from Fantastic Four: First Steps unveiled at CinemaCon.

Kevin Feige unveiled the footage through a video segment. The head of Marvel Studios began by stating that they were "just days away from starting principal photography." Avengers: Doomsday , directed by the Russo Brothers and starring Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom.

The Fantastic Four : First Steps Meanwhile, the film features Pedro Pascal portraying Reed Richards/Mr.Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing.

In the recently unveiled trailer that hasn’t been made available online yet, Reed Richards and Sue Storm discover their impending parenthood, prompting mixed feelings. “We can handle this,” Kirby states confidently.

While the squad confronts challenges posed by Galactus, Kirby stays steadfast. "We shall tackle this collectively," she declares in the trailer. "We'll combat it together—as one united family."

In the movie, Reed Richards reassures an anxious crowd at a press conference with the statement, “We will safeguard you.” The clip concludes with a major twist: the Silver Surfer, played by Julia Garner, speeds across the scene.

The risks are significant here. Fantastic Four , set to arrive on July 25, comes two weeks after the release of the DC Studios blockbuster Superman This will be the final Marvel Studios film leading up to next summer's release. Avengers: Doomsday , featuring Downey as Doctor Doom, who serves as the main adversary for the group in the comic series. The film will include all four members of the Fantastic Four. Doomsday , as revealed During an extensive casting spectacle last week.

The film also comes following earlier versions of Fantastic Four Produced by 20th Century Fox, these movies fell short of doing justice to the team, who are some of Marvel’s most cherished characters in comic lore. While Tim Story helmed two financially successful yet largely unremarked-upon films during the mid-2000s, Josh Trank took the helm for a 2015 flop.

A previous trailer for First Steps Teased was Galactus, the planet-devouring antagonist portrayed by Ralph Ineson in the movie. Other notable actors include Walter House and John Malkovich.

The most recent iteration of the script comes from Eric Pearson, the writer who is also recognized for Black Widow, Thunderbolts and Thor: Ragnarok.
