The lawyer defending Shannon Sharpe from a $50 million lawsuit claiming he sexually assaulted a woman made public thousands of text messages exchanged between Sharpe and the alleged victim on Tuesday.
The lawsuit, submitted on Sunday to the Nevada state court, alleges that Sharpe attacked, sexually assaulted, battered, subjected to sexual battery, and deliberately caused emotional suffering throughout their approximately two-year partnership.
Sharpe characterized the legal action as a "shake-down" in an audio recording shared on Tuesday. His attorney, Lanny J. Davis, then provided texts that he claimed demonstrated "a series of sexually suggestive interactions which particularly involve her being strangled by him."
In a text that surfaced, the purported victim—whose identity has been revealed by Sharpe’s lawyers but is not disclosed by The Post—noted in a June 14, 2024, message, "I want to be mistreated, Daddy."
On July 6, 2024, in a distinct message, the woman sentSharpe a text saying, "I want you to restrain me as shown here and mistreat me, Daddy," along with an explicit picture depicting a man and a woman engaged in an intimate activity.

On multiple instances, she messaged the ESPN personality via text with handcuffs involved and dispatched Sharpe various explicitly sexual pictures that included handcuffs usage.
"I'm really into some intense BDSM activity," the alleged victim messaged Sharpe on January 31, 2024.
Among the disclosed documents, one from January 2 of this year stood out; it was dated the very day the woman claims Sharpe assaulted her according to her legal filing. In this document, she reportedly addressed and challenged him regarding the alleged attack.
“But I shed tears when you left because I pleaded with you to use a condom and not to penetrate me anally, but you ignored me,” she messaged him. “Regardless of our past, Shannon, no still means no.”
She also messaged him, "I don't know how to process this."
He responded with, "May I reach out to you again later?"
The revisions that were made public did not clarify what transpired during the telephone call.
The messages followed closely after multiple messages posted by Sharpe’s group on Monday In which she requested Sharpe to "place a dog collar around my neck" and "bind me up and do naughty things to me."
The unveiling of the statement along with a Tuesday press briefing conducted by Sharpe’s legal representative was aimed at countering the claims presented in the lawsuit through public pressure.
Davis informed journalists at the online press briefing. That Sharpe had offered the woman, who is at least 30 years her junior, "no less than $10 million" to resolve the lawsuit, but she chose to benefit from a reportedly highly profitable contract related to Sharpe’s "Club Shay Shay" podcast instead.
The lawyer additionally mentioned that the lady worked as an OnlyFans creator, engaging in "character play and imaginary scenarios for individuals who compensate her."
"It is true that the plaintiff began charging Mr. Sharpe for payments. The facts reveal this about her character. I am simply stating that she operates on OnlyFans and asks people to pay for role-playing activities," Davis explained.
Sharpe has denied the allegations .
ESPN has refused to provide any comments on the issue.
