To the editor Sen. Cory Booker demonstrates remarkable courage and physical fortitude by speaking continuously for more than 25 hours in the Senate. " Senator Cory Booker breaks records with his lengthy Senate address criticizing President Trump’s policies. On April 1st, the New Jersey Democrat stood up for every American cherishing our collective democratic heritage and the components that enrich our everyday existence: robust public health systems, groundbreaking medical research, pristine air and water quality, accurate weather forecasts, safe air travel, access to reproductive healthcare, comprehensive health coverage, safeguarding civil liberties, defending voting rights, honoring international partnerships without bowing to authoritarian regimes—among many others. Thanks to this senator. Let’s unite to preserve these essential aspects of life that have contributed so much to making our nation exceptional!

To the editor Booker deserved prominent placement on the front page, right at the top. He surpassed former Sen. Strom Thurmond's 1957 filibustering record. Kudos, Booker, for attempting to rouse the Republicans and striving to protect our democracy.

To the editor What Booker accomplished is nothing short of remarkable. His actions embody bravery, honesty, and guidance that have been noticeably absent among those we've chosen as representatives. By confronting authority with unwavering truth, opposing intimidation, he underscores that real power lies within the hands of the American populace, giving them control over their governance. He urges Americans to join forces against an irrational authoritarian figure and reclaim our nation; it’s upon each one of us now to act accordingly. Senator Booker, thank you for taking such a firm stance rooted in principle, defending both legal standards and constitutional rights along with our cherished lifestyle.

To the editor It’s high time we expunge Strom Thurmond’s segregational legacy from the records. Despite criticizing President Trump and GOP policies extensively, Booker hasn’t proposed any viable solutions. Similar to the Democrats' unsuccessful approach in the 2024 election, their tactic seemed to be solely focused on halting Trump without offering competitive policy alternatives. Exactly how does Booker plan to slash the federal budget deficit by one trillion dollars? Is he suggesting business proceeds as normal, leaving future generations—our children and grandchildren—to foot the bill when the nation goes bust? With all his rhetoric, what stands out is an image akin to Don Quixote charging at windmills. While Booker provided ample critique, little constructive has been put forth.
