The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Russian troops launched an attack on a civilian area in the central Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih using both an Iskander-M tactical missile system and Iranian-built Shahed unmanned aerial vehicles late Friday evening.
At least 19 individuals lost their lives and 68 others were wounded, as per reports from Ukrainian media outlets. Later that night, Russian forces launched another assault on Kryvyi Rih, resulting in a blaze within a civilian neighborhood, according to Ukrainska Pravda.

Three days of mourning have been announced in the city beginning on Monday. Oleksandr Vilkul, who leads the Kryvyi Rih City Defense Council, described it as "nothing short of a civilian massacre."
Zelensky stated that these attacks, including one on a thermal power plant in the Kherson region, underscored the necessity of sustained global pressure on Russia to agree to a ceasefire, an offer that Putin has declined.
Zelensky expressed that he was "disconcerted" by the reaction from the U.S. Embassy, as their statement regarding the attack avoided using the term "Russian."
The Institute for the Study of War stated on Friday that Russian attacks on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure during the supposed truce, targeting energy facilities, were counterproductive to achieving peace.
