Large-scale demonstrations are set for Saturday throughout Riverside County aimed at opposing the Trump administration's budget reductions and widespread firings.
The Indivisible movement along with Courageous Resistance of the Desert will organize "Hands Off!" demonstrations in Riverside, Temecula, Murrietta, Palm Springs, and San Jacinto on Saturday.
The places and their corresponding timings are as follows:
— Palm Springs City Hall, located at 3200 E. Tahquitz Canyon Way in Palm Springs, opens at 10 a.m.;
— Market Street at University Avenue in Riverside from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.;
— From noon till 2 p.m., at 40735 Murrietta Hot Springs Road in Murrieta;
— Eagle Drive at West Community Drive, opposite Carl Quandt Stadium, in San Jacinto from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.;
— 28250 Rancho California Road, Temecula Duck Pond, from midday till 3 p.m.
Similar protests will take place throughout Southern California and across the country, featuring various groups such as the League of Women Voters, Planned Parenthood Action Fund, and the ACLU, as stated on the Hands Off! website.
According to Indivisible’s social media, over 500,000 Americans are participating in more than 1,200 demonstrations across the country.
