A number of Ukrainians residing in the United States following this fleeing Russia's invasion mistakenly received " terse and threatening email notifications sent out this week advising them to depart, as reported.
The notifications informed Ukrainian individuals that their temporary legal status would be revoked within one week, as reported by The Washington Post late Friday. They were instructed to depart from the United States without delay.
It’s time for you to depart from the United States," the notification stated. Should they disregard this warning, the letter cautioned, "The federal authorities will locate you.

A spokesperson for Kristi Noem's Department of Homeland Security, Tricia McLaughlin, verified that the letters were inadvertently dispatched.
A message intended for some Ukrainians, who arrived in the U.S. through the "Uniting for Ukraine" initiative, was mistakenly sent out, according to McLaughlin.
Nevertheless, "the parole program has not been discontinued," she pointed out.
The letters allegedly left stunned Ukrainian parents and children in tears.
Critics harshly criticized the administration for the mistake.
Rabbi James Greene, CEO of Jewish Family Service of Western Massachusetts, which supports immigrants and refugees, described the "language used in the letter as disgraceful."
"It’s time for you to depart from the United States? The federal government will track you down?" That isn’t us," Greene stated to the Post during an interview.
" Pretty sick "Even though it was an 'accident,' the language they used was horrifying," wrote Darren Lenard Hutchinson, a law professor at Emory University, on X.
Insisting that Ukrainians must go back to an active war zone within seven days or else face criminal charges is utterly unacceptable," Senator Ed Markey (D-MA) stated to the Post. "The ineptitude and harshness of the Trump administration keep shocking people, and they should definitely be held responsible.
The report arrives as the United States, Britain, and France allege that Russian President Vladimir Putin is responsible for hesitating during peace talks The U.S. has suggested a 30-day ceasefire, yet Russia hasn’t accepted the conditions. Both Ukrainian authorities and NATO partners are urging for a solution.
