Peru CSD Introduces Innovative Internet Access Model for School Devices

Beginning shortly, pupils from kindergarten through 8th grade within the Peru Central School District will have access to school-provided gadgets exclusively for academic pursuits due to a fresh program designed to boost classroom instruction.

The district is implementing a "Whitelist Only" internet access policy, which will limit students to accessing only pre-approved educational sites.

The upcoming policy scheduled to be implemented on April 25 aims to assist students in concentrating on their studies by eliminating possible diversions.

As stated by Nicholas Damiani, who leads the district's technology efforts, this change is designed to simplify students' focus on the academic materials crucial for their success.

The aim is to direct their attention toward educational material, eliminating certain distractions, ensuring they grasp the necessary lessons when using these devices," explained Damiani. "The Chromebook serves as an instrument that facilitates accessing education and helps achieve the learning objectives set by educators.
