LAS VEGAS ( KLAS — A recently published survey of small businesses conducted by Nevada State Bank reveals an optimistic perspective within Nevada’s entrepreneurial sector.
In January, five hundred small business proprietors were polled, with their responses mirroring the impact of the recent change in administration. As stated by Terry Shirey, who serves as the President and CEO of Nevada State Bank, over sixty-three percent feel confident that the nation’s economic trajectory is positive.
Smaller enterprises remained hopeful that this trend would continue," Shirey stated. "It was an exceptionally robust period. Throughout 2024, Nevada experienced remarkable growth, and maintaining this momentum should be our priority when considering the state’s commercial landscape.
According to the survey, though, business proprietors are worried about the expenses related to products, health care, and business taxation. Jeremy Aguero, who works as the Principal Analyst at Applied Analysis, shed light on these difficulties.
"Many small businesses are run by family units, and from this perspective, they face numerous difficulties similar to yours. These issues can range from rising costs linked to inflation to ensuring that both themselves, their staff members, or even their children have affordable housing," Aguero explained.
The research indicates that within the coming 12 months, 51 percent of small enterprises throughout Nevada intend to broaden their operations, and over 48 percent are looking at developing new product lines.
In the survey, forty percent of small business proprietors stated their intention to broaden their operations beyond Las Vegas.
