Murfreesboro, Tenn. (WKRN)—On Tuesday evening, officials shut down a section of road for an investigation into a collision that left at least four individuals with injuries.

Shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the Murfreesboro Police Department said In a social media update, it was stated that officials were looking into an accident on Veterans Parkway at Highway 99. Traffic has been rerouted via Old Salem Road.
Later Tuesday night, police said Highway 99 was shut down in both directions as the Fatality Investigation Unit began examining the accident site. Four individuals were taken to nearby medical facilities for injury treatment; their current condition has yet to be reported.
