The remains of a man from Selma who had gone missing in 2020 have been found.
According to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, the remains of Miguel Alonso Garcia were unearthed at a location on 6th Avenue Drive in Kingsburg, specifically within the 400 block of that street.
Garcia was last contacted on September 11, 2020, at the age of 30.
Detectives carried out a search warrant on the site known as "The Peach Pit" following leads suggesting that Garcia’s remains could be buried there.
Tony Botti stated that the Fresno County Public Works helped detectives by providing heavy machinery to excavate portions of soil, leading to the discovery of human remains.
The medical examiner verified it was indeed Garcia.
Investigators are endeavoring to pinpoint those accountable.
