Besides unveiling potential additional actors joining the cast of Avengers: Doomsday and indicating which other characters might get chairs, Marvel presented fresh clips from Thunderbolts during this year’s CinemaCon, prior to its upcoming release next month. Most significantly, these scenes could have finally validated fans' hypotheses regarding the reasons and methods behind the team's formation.
Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Hannah John-Kamen, and Wyatt Russell made their entrance at the event riding in Red Guardian’s limousine, showcasing fresh footage that promised plenty of chuckles along with a heap of betrayals to come.
The footage, according to The Hollywood Reporter The scene opens with Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Alexei Shostakov, aka Red Guardian (Harbour), driving a truck that contains Yelena (Pugh), Ghost (John Kamen), and John Walker (Russell). As they travel, Alexei complains to the ex-Winter Soldier about sharing leadership duties within their recently assembled team. This disagreement occurs shortly before they deliberately smash into a structure, opting against a discreet entry.
A quick gunfight breaks out before ValentinaAllegra de Fontaines voice (played by Louis-Dreyfus) comes through, urging them to go up the stairs. Upon arrival, the Thunderbolts face an onslaught of harsh remarks from Valentina directed at their group; she refers to John Walker as "a second-string Captain America," and calls Red Guardian "the old Santa Claus" (have we seen Young Santa before?). As the team endures these jibes, Valentina admits to her original intention for bringing them together: "I sent you down there so you would slaughter one another, yet here you are making peace and forming a squad."
That single sentence might be enough to verify it. A Reddit hypothesis about how the Thunderbolts were formed along with Valentina’s intentions. It now appears even more probable that this team was assembled merely to serve as background characters for the emerging superhero, Lewis Pullman's character The Sentry. who we recently had a close look at thanks to an action figure Based on the scene in the van, it seems that Olga Kurylenko's character in Taskmaster might not survive.
Fortunately, the remaining characters will join forces with iconic members of the Fantastic Four, original Guardians of the Avengers, and several lesser-known X-Men in "Avengers: Doomsday."
