LYNN HAVEN, Fla. (WMBM) – In the race for the Lynn Haven Commission Seat 3 within Ward 3, local candidate Johnnie Beshearse was competing against the current commissioner, Jamie Warrick.
Based on the surveys, there won't be any shifts in that position.
Jamie Warrack secured 62.1% of the votes compared to Beshearse’s 37.8%, thus becoming the Lynn Haven Seat 3 Commissioner.
This marked Bershearse’s inaugural run as a political contender. He along with his supporters convened at Diego’s Burrito Factory to wait for the electoral outcomes. Despite not emerging victorious, Bershearse expresses enthusiasm about collaborating with Lynn Haven on upcoming initiatives designed to propel the city toward a brighter future.
"You know, I genuinely thought I would come out as the winner here, and although that didn't happen, it's alright. The votes have been cast, and that's how things stand now. It means I can finally go fishing again since I'm retired. For the past few months, due to this campaign, I haven't had the chance to do so. But today marks my return into politics, and I've thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. Meeting all these individuals was fantastic; I truly relish being part of the entire process," stated Beshearse.
Beshearse expresses his enthusiasm for the possibility of running again in upcoming elections.
Jamie Warrick declined to speak with News 13, maintaining the stance he adopted after winning his election.
