iTech Empowers Nonprofits with Xerox Printers

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - Once again, iTech is offering free Xerox printers to nonprofit organizations that apply through their program.

Mike Williams, who founded and leads iTech—the technology solutions firm—stated that their company has supplied printers to nonprofit organizations in the Mid-Ohio Valley over the past three years.

What often occurs is that companies choose to update their machinery," Williams explained. "As a result, we receive some functional devices returned to us. We aim to distribute those in good condition to nonprofit organizations. These groups still require copying and printing capabilities. They need high-quality machines. If cutting-edge technology isn't essential for them, they have the opportunity to utilize these printers.

Over the last three years, Williams mentioned that iTech has managed to supply approximately 30 printers to nearby nonprofit organizations.

One nonprofit organization that receives printer support from iTech is the Wood County Society.

Bailey Harlow, a community outreach coordinator with the Wood County Society, said this service helps the organization focus on their main objectives as a nonprofit.

It enables us to increase the financial support we can provide to our initiatives and to those we serve," Harlow explained. "This could involve funding requirements for Artbeat, our autism connection program, or whatever activities are currently taking place throughout the year.

Williams concurs with the rationale behind reducing administrative expenses for institutions.

“Copier expenses need to be considered,” Williams stated. “Phone bills, computer costs, and similar items also come into play. We're glad to assist with these aspects if possible.”

"What iTech does with this resource truly aids nonprofit organizations like ours in building capacity and provides an additional pathway for reallocating some of our funds away from administrative expenses and towards enhancing the impact of our organizations," Harlow noted.
