EXCLUSIVE: Notable electronic dance music (EDM) creator Steve Aoki's first foray into graphic novels HiROQUEST includes the initial lineup of releases from the new publishing company Gungnir Entertainment.
Gungnir has been initiated by veteran comic book creator and the Chief Creative Officer of Iconic Arts, Matthew Medney, as a publishing company focused on "groundbreaking and rebellious narratives."
The initial batch of Gungnir’s releases encompasses HiROQUEST: The Graphic Novel From legendary EDM artist Aoki, this project was developed alongside Jim Krueger from Gungnir and features a genetically enhanced meta-human navigating a world set 400 years ahead in the future.
HiROQUEST is among multiple Gungnir releases including Forward as Always From Olan Rogers and Jake Sidwell, The Expensive Price of Happily Ever After from Krueger and Zach Brunner Chupacabra: Stories of Blood and Ink from Medney himself.
Editor-in-Chief Krueger, celebrated for his contributions at Gungnir, joins Medina alongside her. Justice (DC Comics) and the Earth X trilogy (Marvel). Gungnir has similarly brought on board Executive Editor Steve Orlando, who has contributed to various publications including those from DC Comics, Marvel, Image, and IDW.
Medney stated that Gungnir represents not just a publishing company but a revolution in narrative art.
