Governor Ivey Names Tiffany McCord to Montgomery County Circuit Court

MONTGOMERY, Ala. ( WSFA Governor Kay Ivey has designated District Judge Tiffany McCord to assume the role of circuit court judge for Montgomery County.

The governor's office informed WSFA that McCord will take over from the retiring Circuit Court Judge Johnny Hardwick.

Judge Hardwick retired From the fifteenth circuit court in Montgomery on Wednesday, March 26 after serving for approximately two decades.

McCord took the oath of office on Thursday afternoon at the Montgomery Courthouse, in the very chamber where Judge Hardwick started his career back in 2001.

Following his swearing-in ceremony, McCord issued the subsequent statement.

Firstly, let me express my gratitude to Governor Ivey for placing her faith and trust in me by appointing me as a circuit court judge for the 15th Judicial Circuit," stated McCord. "To her and to every citizen, I pledge to strive diligently to adhere to the laws set forth in the Code of Alabama and ensure that justice is administered fairly and without bias for each resident.

Judge McCord, who lives in Montgomery, possesses 23 years of legal expertise.
