FKA Twigs expressed feeling "devastated" following the cancellation of her imminent American tour stops and her withdrawal from participating in certain events. Coachella shifted because of "continuing visa problems."
The 37-year-old British singer turned to social media earlier last month to announce to her fans that some of her performances in the U.S. would be affected. Canada - including performances in New York, Chicago, and Toronto - were canceled as "the production failed to submit the necessary documentation promptly enough for us to obtain our visas to enter the USA and perform." However, the actress from "Childlike Things" has since disclosed that all remaining shows, along with her scheduled appearances at festivals such as Coachella in Indio, have been affected. California , and Axe Ceremony in Mexico City will be cancelled.
Expressing regret to her followers via social media, TKA Twigs stated, “I’m heartbroken to announce that owing to persistent visa problems, I won’t be able to perform at any of my planned North American tour events for the rest of April, which include stops at Ceremonia and Coachella. This is difficult for me as I was looking forward to sharing something I’ve put all my passion into, believing it’s some of my best work yet. However, I understand how disappointing this must be for those who have already arranged their schedules and invested funds just to attend these performances.”

She continued, "I assure you I’m doing everything I can to rearrange the impacted dates at the earliest opportunity. For those who bought tickets directly from us for our main events, check with your place of purchase regarding specifics and refunds. Back to you all once new developments come through—meanwhile, enjoy these highlights from the performance which we put immense effort into crafting."
In addition to her announcement, she posted a series of pictures from past shows. Her fans expressed their frustration in the comments, with one person commenting, “Girl, this makes three times now; just admit you dislike Mexico.” Another added, “There’s no need for a visa to visit Mexico. This reason sounds lame. Three consecutive cancellations? Unbelievable.”
Another commenter remarked, “This marks the third instance you have let down your Mexican followers; I regret to say my apologies seem inadequate.” Some expressed understanding towards the singer, with one stating, “We realize circumstances are outside your control. Prioritize your well-being and disregard online negativity. Our affection for you remains unwavering!” An individual chimed in, “Welcome to Trump’s America.”
Following Brazilian singer Anitta’s withdrawal from Coachella citing “unforeseen personal circumstances,” she too has decided to step down. At age 32, the artist released a statement saying, "I had been eagerly anticipating my appearance at Coachella this year; however, because of some unforeseen personal issues, I am unable to take part in the performance. I genuinely appreciate the festival organizers for their consideration, support, and graciousness regarding this matter."
This year, Lady Gaga, Green Day, Post Malone, and Travis Scott are topping the bill at the big music event happening over two weekends at the Empire Polo Club from April 11-13 and April 18-20. You'll also get to see performances by Charli XCX, Missy Elliott, and Megan Thee Stallion.
