First Look Trailer Reveals Julia Garner as the Mesmerizing Silver Surfer in 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps'

The newly released clips show that Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm is expecting, which adds a fresh dimension to the film's title.

Julia Garner is surfing into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Fantastic Four: Initial Journey released a fresh trailer for CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Thursday, where the video provided an electrifying initial glimpse of the Ozark The Emmy-winning actor's much-awaited portrayal of the Marvel antagonist Silver Surfer.

The short glimpse of the world-consuming space deity Galactus’s herald made viewers clap and exclaim “ooh” and “ah” as she moved gracefully on her silver skateboard. as Garner guessed , the character shines brightly.

However, that was not the sole shocking element of the trailer, as it also unveiled that Vanessa Kirby Her hero Sue Storm is expecting a baby, which gives new significance to the film's title.

Following a segment on an old-fashioned chat show praising "The Original Team of Marvel" — Pedro Pascal Reed Richards from Stan Lee's Mr.Fantastic, Jack Kirby's Sue Storm known as Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn It's Johnny Storm/The Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach Ben Grimm/The Thing — as they return to their retro-futuristic abode, Richards and Sue show up tardy for their scheduled family meal. It’s then that Johnny accurately deduces that Sue is expecting.

Subsequently, in the midst of a combat scene, Sue reassures Reed with, “We can handle this.” Later, as Reed voices his uncertainty about their safety stating, “I’m not sure we’re safe,” she regains her steadfast demeanor and assures him, “I won’t surrender yet.”

Following the Silver Surfer’s devastating strike, Sue soothes and fortifies Reed once more. “We’ll confront this together,” she declares. “We’ll battle it together, as a team.”

From the beginning, one of our decisions was to avoid telling an origin story, Director Matt Shakman previously mentioned Entertainment Weekly One way we’re putting our spin on it is by avoiding the familiar tale of their ascent and transformation before launching into our storyline. Many people know the established narrative leading up to that point, so instead, we decided to kick things off essentially post-first-act. We believed it would be best to begin with something entirely fresh.

The Fantastic Four: Initial Moves slides into theaters on July 25.
