The name of the late Greensboro police officer now stands amongst a proud fraternity and sorority of fellow officers.
The name of Officer Michael Horan is now inscribed on the plaque. National Monument Honoring Police Officers.
The work began on Monday, April 14.
As you're aware, Horan passed away several months back when authorities claim he was shot and killed following a confrontation at the Lawndale Food Lion.
Horan dedicated decades of his career to the Coast Guard and provided service in Greensboro for six years.
Horan will similarly receive recognition at a upcoming vigil, alongside all the other names being inscribed on the wall this year.
The other names encompass those of all four officers who were killed during last year's ambush in Charlotte.
Next week marks one year since that attack occurred.
