Houston city will provide entertainment all day long on Saturday, April 26th, at the Emmett Kelly Festival stage.
Between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., Kirk Pierce will present an array of tunes reflecting his musical inclinations, including original compositions rooted in the Ozark region as well as renditions of hits by Cher and the Grateful Dead. There’s bound to be something for every listener during his performance.
Following the 11 A.M. parade, participating clowns at the festival will showcase their talents with comedy sketches onstage, followed by an Emmett Kelly impersonation competition for young participants. Awards will be presented once all acts have been performed.
The STARS Foundation is set to host a variety show between 12:30 and 1 p.m., featuring performances by numerous local young adults who participate in their fine arts initiatives.
The Houston High School Jazz Band is scheduled to deliver an engaging performance of jazz music onstage between 1:15 and 1:45 p.m. This ensemble continues to expand and consistently delivers remarkable shows in contests as well as various occasions.
The performance by Chrome 45 is scheduled between 2 and 4 p.m. Formed in 2016, this trio consists of Tim Henderson on vocals, Josh York playing piano and guitar, and Andrew Stockard on drums. They combine elements of rock music with an array of different musical styles. Having performed alongside each other since their high school days, Tim and Josh share a strong collaborative chemistry, which is complemented by Andrew’s powerful yet precise percussion work. Renowned for delivering lively concerts and showcasing adaptability, Chrome 45 puts on captivating live acts at numerous stages and gatherings.
The musicians receive sponsorship from Lilia’s Taqueria and The Bank of Houston.
