Brandi Carlile and Elton John have have worked together several times over the years.
The two musicians have recently unveiled their new project. collaborative album ,, who believes in angels?," on April 4th. Subsequently, on April 5th, they are scheduled to be the musical guests. Saturday Night Live alongside guest host Jack Black .
Before this album The pair has collaborated several times, and their relationship seems to go beyond professional boundaries; Elton referred to them as “soulmates” during an interview with Them. He mentioned, "I’ve admired Brandi’s work for quite some time, though she was actually a fan of my music much earlier. In fact, I contributed vocals and instrumentation to one of her albums."

Elton performed piano and provided backing vocals for Brandi's track "Caroline," which appeared on her third studio album titled "Give Up the Ghost." In turn, Brandi contributed to Elton's album "The Lockdown Sessions" with the song "SimpleThings."
The duo worked together on the track "Never Too Late," featured as the main single in the soundtrack for Elton’s documentary with the same title. Although the song received an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song, it didn’t win and lost out to “El Mal” from Emilia Perez.
Elton also mentioned, "We have celebrated holidays together with our children, and she is simply one of my most cherished individuals globally. Additionally, from a musical standpoint, she ranks among my favorites worldwide."
The singer from Rocketman is wedded to David Furnish and they together have two boys named Zachary and Elijah. Meanwhile, Brandi is partnered with Catherine Shepard and they are parents to two girls called Evangeline Ruth and Elijah.
When Brandi first encountered Elton’s music, she recalled, “I came across Elton’s work when I was 11 during a school book report. Interestingly, this assignment turned out to be quite tragic—it focused on a young boy named Ryan White, who had sadly passed away from AIDS around then,” as she explained.

This coming Saturday marks Elton's and Brandi's third appearance on the show.
In 2011, Elton served as both the host and musical guest, whereas he appeared solely as a musical guest in 1982. Brandi performed as the musical guest in both 2021 and 2022.
