Drew Barrymore started her weekend off wonderfully after feeling shaky following a kiss from Matt Bomer .
The 50-year-old confessed that the intensely passionate kiss was "the only action" she receives and could not control her emotions, ending up on the floor in disbelief. Mid-Century Modern Star pressed her lips together.
The flirtatious peck happened when Matt showed up on Drew's namesake talk program on Friday, welcoming her with a passionate embrace.
"Should we go ahead and kiss?" asked Matt, who is 47 years old, prior to leaning in with Drew for their first kiss.
Once they separated from one another, they shared a cozy embrace until Drew remarked with a laugh, "This is the closest thing to excitement I've had all week."
Matt, who married husband Simon Halls In 2011, he playfully responded: "The same here. I've been married for years, so nothing new to report."
Before sitting down for an interview with him, they took their seats. Mid-Century Modern co-stars Nathan Lane and Nathan Lee Graham , Drew theatrically fell to the ground from the surprise of their kiss.
You could be required to perform artificial respiration on her," joked Nathan Lee, 56. To this, Drew responded: "That’s typically his style!
Matt acknowledged he "needed to get that off his chest" prior to Nathan, who is 69 years old, retorted with, "Do you want some time alone?"
Unlucky in love
Since divorcing Will Kopeland in 2016, Drew has struggled to find success in dating. They share daughters named Olive and Frankie.
She was previously married to comedian Tom Green. However, the pair went separate ways just one year following their marriage ceremony, and at 19, she tied the knot with Jeremy Scott, a bartender older than her by 12 years.
A few weeks ago, she spoke candidly about her negative experiences with contemporary romantic pursuits, revealing that she had tested the celebrity dating platform Raya but found it unfruitful.
Speaking with guests Ross Matthews and Valerie Bertinelli, Drew mentioned that she went on a date in March when a guy requested her phone number.
“After that, I messaged him saying, ‘It was nice seeing you the other night.’ We exchanged texts two more times, and then he concluded with, ‘Haaaaa.’ Since then, I haven’t received any further communication,” she explained.
She pondered, 'It simply occurs. I can’t explain why.' She continued, ‘The thought never crosses my mind to act that way. For instance, if you were to use a fishing rod, wouldn’t you naturally want to pull in the fish?’
Nevertheless, after reaching 50 years old, Drew confessed that she now cherishes her autonomy more and shared her thoughts on embarking on a fresh chapter in her romantic journey through a candid article. Us Weekly.
Drew admitted that pursuing romance was thrilling for a while, but over time, she started realizing the significance of her connection with herself as she matured.
"At some point, I came to understand that the company I would always keep moving forward...would be myself. I began engaging in activities solely for my benefit in ways I hadn’t done previously," she shared.
I went on small solo outings. I would cook for myself as though I were throwing an extravagant dinner party – complete with candles and music.
She went on: "I aspire to be the person who can depend on myself, share laughter with, and rejoice alongside. Should love, in whatever shape it appears, enhance this experience? It would be wonderful. Yet, I reject the notion that my existence hinges upon someone else’s presence or absence."
