Personally, I’m aware that he has received threatening messages, all because of the transgression—of being a progressive individual who chose to endorse Donald Trump and subsequently work within his administration briefly.”

This caused podcaster Van Lathan, who hosts "Higher Learning," to respond with disagreement.
“It’s actually incorrect,” he stated. “Let me clarify something swiftly. I get where you’re coming from; many folks try to portray it as individuals starting to dislike Elon Musk or losing interest in him after he backed Donald Trump – but that’s simply not accurate.”
"Absolutely, I believe it’s genuine," Jennings objected.
"Absolutely not true." Lathan retorted. "This issue began much earlier, right after Elon Musk acquired Twitter. That’s when hate speech surged on the platform. Elon Musk has been playing footsie with Naziism And extremist-type content for a few years prior to this has led many to jump ship from supporting Elon Musk long before he decided to ---.
"As far as chronological accuracy goes, I agree," CNN presenter Abby Phillip chimed in.
Following some interruptions, Phillip proceeded, saying, "I don't believe this issue revolves only around Donald Trump. It aligns more with what Van mentioned—that he had been transforming his personal platform into a space for spreading conspiracy theories and harassment long before owning Twitter. Actually, even prior to considering purchasing it, he was using it to accuse an innocent individual of pedophilia." and faced legal action because of it I'm referring to something that occurred years back, long before all of this happened."
