Comedian John Fuselgang told CNN that listening to MAGA followers this week has felt akin to observing supporters of Star Wars understanding that Darth Vader is an antagonist.

It’s as though they only watched the initial trio of Star Wars films and figured out Darth Vader was the antagonist just during the final moments of the series. Return of the Jedi ‚” Fuselgang said on Newsnight with Abby Phillip on Friday.

The harsh critique arises as President Donald Trump ’ loyal followers have now abandoned him. Republican leader following the extensive tariffs he implemented on Wednesday.

Trump announced on Tuesday, calling it "Liberation Day," that a new 10 percent tariff has been imposed with the aim of safeguarding American jobs.

Pro-Trump social media figure Dave Portnoy criticized Trump, stating that "things have gone south" following a loss of $7 million in his investment portfolio.

Fuselgang stated that none of this should be unexpected for Trump’s MAGA supporters and charged Trump with employing unauthorized workers in his companies along with subcontracting production overseas. China and Mexico to evade providing a decent salary to Americans.
